Welcoming the return of children
to Dalgarno school at Morley College
We are pleased and excited to welcome children, parents and teachers back to Dalgarno Supplementary School.
All of us know just how much our children have made so many sacrifices – adapting to home-learning, missing their friends, not being able to do so many of the things that children love to do. Their lives have been disrupted and many have struggled. It is so important that they are able to catch-up on the essential experiences of childhood as life begins to return to normal. Catching-up will of course include learning, and we do think that is achievable. Let us not panic children about the lessons they have missed, or about how far they may have fallen behind. We are the adults, and we need to show them that we know how to look after them and to help them through this. Dalgarno Supplementary School would like to thank Morley College for their continuous support. |

The African Nations Cup is an annual football tournament, uniting teams from African communities in the United Kingdom. Held at West Ham Memorial Grounds, the event was a fusion of traditional music, food and friendly competition, bringing people together in celebration of Africa's diversity, and a much-loved passion for football. Present at the event, Morocco’s Consulate General in London, Abderrahim Biyoud said the competition was more than just about winning: ‘’The whole idea is to gather people and get in touch and have fun.’’ But admitted that a win would also make him proud. Morocco enjoyed success this year, securing places in the top three for the Men’s and Under 17s categories. For many participants growing up far from their native countries, the tournament is also an opportunity to celebrate their identity. Elias, who grew up in London said: ''I feel really proud to play for Morocco, and this tournament has been a great opportunity to connect with our home countries.'' department and the rest financed by the associations involved in these
projects.
The 60 projects selected from a total of 178 relate cultural sectors (18 projects), vulnerable groups (18), promotion of women (12) and youth (12).
On this occasion, the Minister responsible for the Moroccan community abroad, Mohammed Ameur, said the experiment was based on a new approach of "Call for Projects", which is to define priority areas and the target population for these projects will be the result of a tripartite partnership between Morocco, the actors of civil society abroad and local authorities in host countries.

capacity to carry out new projects that meet the aspirations of the Moroccan community, emphasizing that the focus has been on the first stage priority
issues.
This partnership, he said, is particularly for vulnerable groups of the Moroccan expatriate community, particularly youth, women and persons
